On Tuesday 23 October 2018, Cactus and Miele are orgaising a special cookery class for children and their parents; the class will be held in English by Vesela Savova, a certified Diet and Nutrition advisor and blogger who lives in Luxembourg, and is for children from the age of 4 to 10 years.

In order to promote healthy eating habits amongst children, inspire fun at cooking, Cactus and its partner Miele are organising the special cookery class at the Cactus Kachatelier by Miele in Windhof. The workshop will be held in English. As a mother, Vesela Savova's interest has further expanded into child nutrition which led her to completing a certification course in ‘Child Nutrition and Cooking’. During the workshop, Vesela will be assisted by children’s books illustrator Tuire Siiriainen.

The cookery class, specially designed for children, aims to develop knowledge about food and at the same time convey useful information about healthy eating habits and their benefits on both mental and physical health. While teaching valuable basics for a healthy diet, cooking and baking will be used to stimulate the children’s creativity, develop their fine motor skills as well as their communication skills. During the workshop, the children will have to be assisted by their parent.

The class is open for children from the age of 4 to 10 years and will take place on the 1st floor of the Cactus supermarket at Windhof (1 route d'Arlon, L-8399 Windhof) and will last from 15:00 to 17:00 (Doors open at 14:45). In order to guarantee a cosy atmosphere, the number of participants per class is limited.
