This year's EXPOGAST will take place from 24-28 November in four halls of LUXEXPO THE BOX in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.

For five days, THE BOX will be a showroom of extraordinary talents, new gastronomic trends and original and innovative ideas. EXPOGAST also promotes economic exchanges with the Greater Region, contact with young workers and the importance of the social, cultural and economic role of the catering sector.

EXPOGAST 2018 will occupy four halls - halls 2 and 3 on the east side and halls 9 and 8 on the west side - giving it an additional 3,500 square meters (plus 15 percent) over the previous edition of 2014. All commercial sectors and professionals related to gastronomy will be represented at EXPOGAST in stands located in halls 8, 2 and 3; the EXPOGAST sponsors and partners and the "Culinary World Cup" will be present in hall 3.  Meanwhile, hall 9 will once again be the showcase for "La Provençale", one of EXPOGAST's main traditional sponsors. As usual, the opening and closing ceremonies and jury decisions announced daily will take place in Hall 1C.

One highlight of the event, the Villeroy and Boch Culinary World Cup, is one of the largest and most important cooking competitions in the world and enjoys an excellent reputation internationally. 30 national teams and 15 teams youngsters will compete in five days and produce their three-course menus in one of eight competition kitchens - often after months of training to get things rolling like clockwork. 15 other teams will compete in the category "collective kitchens". These 60 teams will be joined by other teams competing for a region of their country. It is expected that the record number of 46 regional teams in 2014 is exceeded for this new edition.

Finally, the Villeroy & Boch Culinary World Cup will offer some innovations this year, for example, this time, the youth teams will no longer participate in a competition with cold creations but will instead complete a classic three-course menu and have another day the task of preparing a hot gourmet buffet. An exciting affair that will allow young chefs to prove once again their talent and creativity - not only to juries, but also to the public, who can taste buffets every night for a small fee.
