The Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) has announced that its roadshow will travel to Singapore on 10 March 2017 (09:00 - 12:30), at the Raffles city Convention Center.

After its January trip to Taipei, Tokyo and Hong Kong, the roadshow will be in Europe in February, before returning to the Far East and Australasia.

With the evolving regulatory landscape of the global fund industry and the ongoing market developments shaping it, it is indeed an opportune time to briefly ascertain the current shape of the markets and look ahead as to where the asset management industry is heading in view of the regulatory, legal and market changes, present and future.

Pierre Gramegna, Minister of Finance, will deliver a keynote address at this event, of which other highlights include:

• European regulatory agenda; what it means for Asia Asset Managers with Luxembourg funds;

• Luxembourg UCITS and the emerging Asia passport; what is the best solution for Asian Asset Managers? ALFI and its members organise free-of-fee, informative seminars in cities around the world. AUSTRALIA

The Australia leg of the trip will see the roadshow visit Sydney on Monday 13 March (14:00 - 17:30) followed by a networking cocktail (venue to be confirmed); and on Tuesday 14 March, it will be in Melbourne at the premises of Deloitte (550 Bourke Street, VIC 300 Melbourne; 14:00 - 17:30), followed by a networking cocktail.

Luxembourg has been granted an AFS (Australian financial services) licence relief by ASIC for financial service providers regulated by the CSSF to provide financial services in Australia to wholesale investors. This relief enables Australian institutional investors easier access to Luxembourg UCITS.

These seminars will be the perfect occasions to leverage on these new opportuntites and to build new ties between Luxembourg and Australian financial players. Key topics will include;
