The Luxembourg Ministry of Agriculture, Viticulture and Consumer Protection will present the measures planned for greater transparency in the food sector on 1 August 2017.

As part of the Ministry’s plans to promote quality agricultural products, Minister Fernand Etgen will present a series of measures aimed at the consolidation of the agricultural sector as well as enhanced transparency in the food sector in Luxembourg.

This new accreditation, which evaluates labels objectively on the basis of clear technical criteria established by official bodies, aims to ensure overall consistency in quality procedures and to increase transparency and consumer confidence. The approval of labels is also an essential element in the promotion of regional agricultural products in collective catering.
